Libya and Tunisia concur with facilitating transit movement at land and air ports
The Libyan Ministry of Interior and its Tunisian counterpart held discussions on the need for facilitating the passage of travelers between both countries through land and air ports.
This came in a meeting between the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Bashir Al-Amine, with the Director General of National Security at the Tunisian Ministry of Interior, Zuhair Al-Saddik, in which they discussed the possibility of opening further new routes at the land ports in order to reduce congestion at the crossings and to facilitate faster movement of goods between both countries.
Both sides also discussed a number of security issues and the matter of smuggling and the implications for the security of the two neighboring countries, along with the formation of security plans which would potentially contribute to the elimination of such difficulties.
