The Italian website “Itamil Radar” confirmed that a Turkish spy aircraft Boeing E-7T No. 002-13, with a call signal TURAF27, after taking off from the Turkish air base of Konya, flew in the area between Tripoli and Misrata, watching the Egyptian preparations, learned BulgarianMilitary.com.
The Turkish aircraft carried out a reconnaissance mission in the flight information area of Tripoli, but outside Libyan airspace, with the flight duration being considerably long, indicative of Ankara’s intentions for something perhaps more serious in Libya.
It also reports the arrival of another Turkish transport aircraft this time (Atlas) in Libya, which shows that the Turkish air bridge of weapons, ammunition and guerrillas to Libya continues on a daily basis.
It is an Airbus A400M military aircraft of the Turkish Air Force “Atlas” (no. 16-0055, dial signal TUAF221, which landed this morning in Misrata at 07:30 coming from Istanbul.
According to unconfirmed information, Turkey has reportedly withdrawn some forces from Iraq and moved them inside the country, probably preparing for a large-scale military attack in Sirte, at the same time as the crisis in the Aegean with Greece.
Also at the same time we have the Turkish exercise “Mediterranean Storm” in the occupied territories with the participation of hundreds of Turkish paratroopers, dozens of tanks, TOMA and self-propelled artillery units.
The whole scenario that has been caused by all these extremely provocative plans of Erdogan, may spark a possible ignition throughout the Eastern Mediterranean.
Operational control of the 2nd Egyptian Army was carried out by the Egyptian A / GES General Mohamed Farid, during exercises with real fire, indicative of the readiness plan of the country’s armed forces.
The Egyptian senior officer monitored the implementation of the main phase of the regular plan of the units, closely monitoring all activities and firing of artillery, mortars and tanks.
The purpose of the activity of the Egyptian forces was to control the level and skills of battle, using the latest technology systems, various weapons and equipment, in the scenario of locating enemy targets and dealing with them.
According to press reports, the Egyptian army is in a phase of increased military readiness, controlling the situation both on the front of Sirte and on the front of the Eastern Mediterranean.
The dispersal of Turkish surface units as well as submarines due to the conflict with Greece has alerted the Egyptian General Staff, which is monitoring the whole situation with great attention.
Libyan civil war
Having ruled the country since 1969, Muammar Gaddafi was ousted and killed in the 2011 civil war. As a result, the country found itself in a situation of dual power: in the east, a parliament is sitting in Tobruk, supported by the Libyan national army, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, and in the west, in Tripoli, a government of national accord.
In Libya, armed clashes are currently taking place between supporters of different leaders. The country is led by the Government of National Accord (GNA), headed by Prime Minister Fayez Saraj, the “eastern government” led by Abdullah Abdurrahaman at-Thani.
The eastern government is supported by the commander of the Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar.
Recall that January 13 in Moscow, negotiations were held between the heads of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalif Haftar and the Government of National Accord (GNA) Faiz Sarraj. Also present were members of the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Turkey.
On the meeting the commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, has notified Russia about the conditions for continuing negotiations on the signing of a peace agreement in Libya.
According to the requirements of Haftar, the militias operating in Libya are required to surrender weapons in the period from 45 to 90 days. This process should be controlled by a special commission created by the LNA together with the UN.
Haftar also refused to recognize Turkey as an intermediary in resolving the situation in Libya, since the Turkish side is not neutral and supports the Government of National Accord (GNA).
At the same time, the GNA is actively supporting Turkey, and Egypt and Saudi Arabia are on the side of the LNA. Its unofficial allies are France and the UAE.
