FCA, Peugeot decide not to pay 2019 dividends

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV and Peugeot SA have decided not to distribute a dividend for 2019 this year, the companies said late on Wednesday.

The decision was made in light of the hit from the coronavirus, the companies said in a joint press release.

The two auto makers confirmed that preparations for their 50/50 merger are advancing well and that they expect the deal to close on schedule, meaning before the end of the first quarter of 2021.
